The pack takes students through the principle tests for identifying rocks including: separating on the basis of grain size, textures, structures, colour, mouldability, calcite and silicon content. 5 samples of each rock (or minimum of 200 grammes of rock fragments) are supplied with full teachers notes. Rocks included in the pack: Shelley Limestone, Sandstone, Slate, Granite Porphyry, Basalt, Granite, Oolitic Limestone, Gabbro, Marble. 1 Tub of Clay Soil and 1 Tub of Sandy Soil.

A mini ecosystem demonstrating the water cycle. The clouds are filled with ice and the ocean is filled with salt water. Requires a lamp to simulate the heat from the sun. Once switched on, rain will fall from the clouds onto the land and down into the freshwater lake before winding its way into the sea.
